Pilot privacy notice

This notice describes the current app. New-family enrollment is paused while the dedicated privacy contact, verified parental-consent process, and retention policy are completed. Existing families can sign in; public guest practice remains available.

Information in the app

Family accounts hold usernames, learning grades and tracks, protected sign-in credentials, answers and skill progress, game history, schoolwork supplied by parents, approximate activity, and any enabled family messages. Use nicknames; do not put addresses, medical information, or other sensitive details into learning cards or messages.

Why it is used

Information supports sign-in, saving across devices, adaptive practice, parent reports, assigned schoolwork, and family challenges. Child messaging is off by default, limited to the family, and controlled by parents. Parents can review family messages.

Storage and service providers

The site and database run on the OpenAI Sites service, using Cloudflare hosting and database infrastructure. Essential session cookies keep users signed in. The device may keep a learning backup and reading preferences. Offline practice caches public questions only. Dictionary suggestions may send the requested word to dictionaryapi.dev; review suggestions before assigning them. This release includes no advertising or third-party analytics.

Your controls

Signed-in parents can review learner information, change assignments, turn messaging off, and download family data in Accounts. The family owner can permanently delete the family’s records from the active database using their password or recovery key. Deletion revokes its sign-in sessions. Provider backup retention and removal are still being confirmed; the app does not promise immediate erasure from provider backups.

Retention and contact

There is currently no automatic expiry for active family learning records. The public-pilot retention schedule and dedicated MVA Connect privacy contact will be published before enrollment opens. The question-reporting tool sends feedback to your family’s parent desk; it is not a support mailbox for MVA Connect.

This app provides learning practice. Its scores are not diagnoses or a substitute for a teacher’s or qualified professional’s assessment.
